Ramadhan

This is a festival that commemorates the sacrifice made by the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) when he was commanded by God to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael). It is celebrated on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah, which is the last month of the Islamic lunar calendar.

This is a day of remembrance that is observed on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Muharram. It is significant for different reasons for different sects within Islam, but it generally commemorates the death of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson, Imam Husayn, who was killed in battle in the year 680 CE.
